FerryMead 'adventure'

                  My 'lovely' Ferrymead

                           *      *     *

 AADDDDDDDDVVVVEEEEENNNNTURRRE!

                     So *Cough* Amazing  *Cough*
I choked on my words there, Sorry!
So when we arrived- I was dressed in a  Nightmare  long dress and apron and to make it worse- they added a bonnet...

It looked really nice for short people,
:(
I'm tall...

So for the day I felt disgusting because of my outfit- and I
DO NOT, care that I got it a bit messy...

But that doesNT make my day worse... I guess...The boys wore knickerbockers, a grey shirt, and a cap.

Immigration Activity. There was a table you chose objects, those objects were jobs, I was a shoemaker.

And there was a hat, you chose sicknesses from. you filled in a form for traveling to New Zealand.  You chose name, I was Victoria Ellen, And I wasn't healthy, I was sick. With Typhoid Fever.

Moving on-

Pioneer crafts.
It was pretty boring honestly. You could make candles, with wax from whales,  and fat from roasts.

And there was this paper bird cage you could make- sort of like an illusion.
There was sewing, rags to a rug.

Packing the Trunk.

There was two trunks. one for essentials, and one for anything else.
Essentials were- clothes, silverware.

And the other trunk was for after the trip.

And my favorite was, The V-Hut!

I like doing chores
apparently.
The chores:
Scrubbing the deck.
Polishing silverware (MY FAVORITE FAVORITE)
Ironing clothes, (Heated with fire)
Sweeping the floor.
Cutting wood with a crosscut saw.
Cleaning clothes.
Cleaning leaves from garden.
Gathering flax for roof. (To keep warm)
And planting beans in paper pot.

What I learnt in Ferrymead
  • Ladies first
  • At school, if your handwriting wasn't straight you were wacked with a ruler
  • If you went to NZ you had two trunks, one for the trip, and one for after
  • Children seen not heard
  • Ladies wore dresses, an apron, and a bonnet
  • Men wore, Knickerbockers and a cap
  • You had to take care of your shoes because they were hand-made
  • School is very very strict, if you talked then your were strapped.
  • The roof of the V-hut was made of cabbage tree flax.
  • The loo was a long drop, and you moved it whenever it got full.
  • Ironed clothes from the heat of the fire.
  • Used a crosscut saw for cutting wood.
                                                Some questions

Did they have glass windows? They didn't have windows
Why did ladies go first? A case of men being nice to women. Sad  riley was here
How did they get planks? Cut down trees, and smoothed it with a saw
How long did it take to thatch the roof? 30 minutes
How long did it take to cut wood each day? 15 minutes
Were children forced to do chores? No, nothing else to do.
Why did women have to wear dresses? They weren't allowed to wear pants
Why was the oven outside? Because it would catch fire inside.

    I enjoyed Ferrymead!

The Adventures of Blackout and Starseeker

A flag, flailing in the wind as Blackout looked out the window. Her black and navy blue wings were on her side. Being a dragon is boring, she thought.

She was about to go out the door when it flung open and out came her mother. She bowed to her, "Get up" She hissed, her wings flopping to the floor down with jewels. Her mother stormed into the throne room. Blackout didn't hesitate, she flew out the door, eyes closed and holding her breath. She did it! She was as smart as-Her thoughts stopped when she didn't recognize this place.

There was a long trail track, built by small humans years ago, with fog winding around the trees.
Small mosquitoes zipped past her scales, curiously. The moss squelched between her talons, she shook it off. Trying to find somewhere to fly, but the trees were to close together, and it was like the castle roof

She stepped on the railway. It creaked on her talons. It was about as wide a her head, and longer than she could see. She looked around, trying to see some decent prey. But it was too misty for her eyes to see very far. Maybe I should sleep, she thought. But the moss was uncomfortable, and she didn't like not knowing what was out there.

She she got up and explored. It had been a while since she last felt fresh air on her scales. Her mother had her in for parties, always. Her hatching day! Party, Daughter's hatching day! Party, the king just sneezed! Party!

She swooshed her tail around, hoping for movement. None. She sighed. She finally wished, in all the mist and moss and trees, that she could go home. She looked around, trying to find the open door she came out of. but she had gone to far. Wait... Her mother had came out of the door she came through, but that's impossible, usually out here is open land, owned by mother.

So some sort of magic? No. The fog swished around her head, and for a moment, she thought it was a dream, but a dragon colors opposite to hers, orange and white, was flapping his wings. trying to get out of the forest. Another dragon! She'd never been so HAPPY!

"Hello! That's useless by the way, there's no way out" She burst. "I've been here, year is." The skinnier white dragon replied. She guessed it meant I have been here years. But he probably didn't know English well. "I'm Blackout, you?" "Starseeker" He replied.

"I find food, me right now" He continued flapping his wings uselessly. But to her surprise, an eagle fell, and he ripped it in half, and gave it to her.

They lived there for years after. The end.- I mean the sequel will be here soon- I mean what?

The battle (Music story) MORBID!!

   The Battle

The battle.
What do you remember?
What happened...?

And.. why?

I seemed to be lying on the wet grass, with a storm clearing.

They left me, they thought I was dead...

Everything flowed back to me, the wounds, bloodshed, and the pain shrieks as my friends, and team-mates  were slaughtered.

I lift my hand to my head, "Ouch" There seemed to be a massive wound still wet with blood.

I got up, my legs wobbling, I tried to balance using my hands. I walked around, seeing dead soldiers. My shoes were uncomfortable and had many holes, so I took them off. Feeling the cold hard stone against my toes.

I turn around, making sure nobody is following me.
There was a fox, standing there. I put my hand up to the fox, implying a pat. The fox nudged me.

The fox turned around, I followed it.

Into the jungle.

Nightfall.

Into the forest.

Alot of time has past.

To the waste-lands.

A month since the battle.

To the forbidden lands.

Its been to long.

To the mountains.

I cant remember anything.

Blood curdling screech, coming from my mouth.
I realize what is happening.

Im falling...

An abyss, a void,

Falling,

Oblivion,

Falling,

Oblivion,

Falling,

Oblivion.

Falling into a pitch black abyss, unaware whats going on.
The foxes eyes glinted from above as I fall 100 miles per minute.

Betrayal.
