A & P Show progress

December 11th is the day of the A & P show.

My Teamate is Olivia T, she is doing "Cactus Rocks"

Our store is called "Sticks and Stones"

I've so far at the time of doing the blog done:

Math! With a friend! (For a game)

 I have a game...
So I have $1000, and I need 1000 more to buy a pet! (A literal frost wolf, named FrostFang)
Its a mythical game...
Here is the finished math with my friend Olivia. T!

5x20=100, 3 days of doing battles (20 of them) So $400 a day. Would = 1220.  More than enough, but still good (Thanks friend Olivia for helping! I might even be able to buy something else! )

My friend is better at math then me..
I did a bit? But like.. SHES SO GOOD!

She read this and said "Thanks, but your better at writing then me" Which is nice!
So basically, 20x20=400 400x3, which is 1200, and then it would extra 20. so $1220

So or this one I HAD to do my favourite Maori bird, the Tui..
I had heaps of trouble getting it to look like a Tui, but the Internet saved me with photos.
I dont have alot to say about the Tui..
But its sitting on a plant...

Insect Inquiry- The World of Insects.

 For inquiry this term I chose Insects.
(Becuause, Moths, Bees, Bumblebees)
I made two moth scoltures in the spam of a term..
But Im innocent because I had to plan.

I made a Moth I called Floof, shes a Poodle moth

I put some facts on her too, of the following:
Moths are Important pollinaters.
Moth Caterpillars scream.
There are more then 135,00 speices of Moth, atleast 100,00 undiscovered.
Some Moths dont have mouths.
Moths are attracted to light, beer and bananas.

I also made a HoneyBee/BumbleBee!

Its pretty rushed, Its named Sting


Facts of the following:

All worker Bees are female.
A Bee produces a teaspoon of honey in their liespan.
A Queen Bee makes 2000 eggs a day!!
The Bee is the only domesticated Insect by humans.

With Muscly front shoulders and neck and they have Small ears and tail.
They have Thick coats of fur that overlay for winter.

And When full grown weigh 544 Kilograms.

They can swim 10 Kilometres an hour and the longest record is 426 miles, and can run 40 Kilometres per hour. Which Humans cannot outrun.They also eat baby seals that the Mother leaves on the surface.

What I (Mostly) did in the holidays!

 In the holidays, the thing I wasted MOST of my time on was drawing on my tablet.
I have one of those PBTECH tablets, that are called Wacoms..
...
Uhm.. I have one.. There like the second to best thing you can have to draw on digital with, I was REALLY happy with it and still LOVE it to this day!

Its basicly just a tablet that comes with a pen and a plug, you plug the plug into the laptop and the tablet, then you open the softwares the tablet came with and use the pen! Its pretty simple and its great fitting for me! Heres a picture of one! 

Isnt it beautuiful?  
I love it! Know what? IT MIGHT BE MY PRIZED POSTESSION!
And the pen doesnt need to charge!! I couldnt stop talking about this when I first got it!

(The tablet only avalible for Windows PC's 10-11, or get a different type of tablet)

I do screenshot them and TRY to send them to my chromebook (The thing I use for school/a tiny laptop)
It just doesn't WORK! (Insert sad face here)

I just realised how sassy my brain is.
Well, anyways.
What do I think while.. Using my Wacom?
I dont actually look at the Wacom, I look at the screen, the screen has where my curser is, so I can see what Im doing (And because it has my tools)
So what I think is what Im drawing, what Im aiming for, and what I want to draw.
So, for example:

Me and Hebe worked together for measurments, we first had to fill out a sheet.

                   (That didn't send to me because, DARN INTERNET)

The sheet had, name, buddys name, your estimate and your buddys estimate. 

First we measured a pencil case, just one a usual size. My estimate was 25cm, Hebes was 19cm. We measurd it and guess what it was?

My Sevgon! (Slash a google drawing)

(If you cant read that) This is my Sevgon! Its name is Flare! First I needed the base. The head! It’s the inspiration for the whole thing. So I was looking for bodys. I looked around the room for some inspiration. I saw someone doing a dragon body (It wasn’t the same as you see here) I searched for a dragon body! This is the one I liked! I then looked but a several tail! I also added an arrow at the end. After that the wings! But there was something missing.. HORNS! Of course how am I so dumb! :o I searched for hours! (actually 1 min and 30 seconds)

Holiday magic!

                                 Holiday magic Birthday!

On the first week of the holidays on sunday 12th I was at my dads. We had to make the house appropriate for a birthday! Because on 10am was when the party started. I was turning 10 on July 14th (it is also Bastille day) But having a party on the 12th. For party bags we bought mini pots, soil and flowers that could grow on winter and spring. Also I didn't want to add sweets  we had too *Sigh* The first one to arrive was Olivia! We were still blowing the balloons up, not that Olivia helped. Next was Hebe! She came in with her mother. That was when Suzie (The cat) Ran away. Next was.. Caily! She ran in, exited. After 30 minutes of long orange juice, lemonade and apple juice drinking.. LILY IS HERE! Everyone runs out the door, Lily is frightened, running back down the drive, across the deserted road and to the car. No one else crossed the road. Everyone scrambled back in. Lily walked in again, without her mother. My dad, (A master chef) Cooking the BEST pizza, he placed it on the table, Plain cheese (For lily and olivia, they dislike any other pizza) Salami, and the best flavour... SALMON PIZZA!! I digged in before anyone else could say thank you, or grab a piece. Hebe: Speechless! Lily and olivia licked their lips and dug into the cheese! Hebe grabbed a piece of salami, probably weirded out, (She hasn't been to my birthday before) We played games like, Hide an Seek Tag, trap in prison/bedroom. Hebe was eating the whole time. Dad called us in for.. DONUTS! There was one with candles, wax dripping down. Everyone was singing my Bday song wrong! They were saying it, "Happy birthday to you! Hay birthday to you! Happy birthday too youuu Happy birthday to you!" They were mean to say, "Happy Bastille day to you Happy Bastille day to you Happy Bastille day to you Happy Bastille day to you Happy Bastille day to you Happy Bastille day to you," on and on! I screamed the whole time! Telling them they were singing it wrong. Next was prrrrreeeeessseeeeaannnntttsssss!! Art supplies!!! Toys!! BOOKSSSS!!!!!!!!!! (Don't call me a bookworm in the comments, now that I have said that I know everyone is, Sad face) Wham bam, I don't remember what we did next.. (U w U)

The roaring beach smashed into rocks.

All was... Unusually quiet.  The local Doves  chirped away peacefully. And you could hear the sea.

Roses appeared out of the wet grass. Scaring Insects Grasshoppers sprang into the bushes 
Concrete stairs started forming up into the sky. The stairs were aligned with Roses. 
Could's cleared for the stairs.

A Dove looked at it strangely, looking side to side with small eyes.
The Dove put her  talons on the concrete, making a tapping sound.

21st July week 1 Tuesday (I think) 2020..... Jamanji redo (A 10 minute story)

My little brother in the basement, finding a 'good' game to play.
I heard a rumbling noise.. It shook the whole house.
"What has he done now..?" I mumbled. he came up the stairs with a dusty o'll board game.
Titled.. "Jamanji.."
It was like that one movie!
Wait no no NO! This was NOT good!
"See! I'm not that BoRiNg!" He hollowed at me.
"Have YOU even WATCHED that MOVIE?!" I yelped, hearing the birds fly away outside.
"We shouldn't play this game! It's DANGEROUS"
He rolled his eyes, opening the box...
I felt like I was sweating in fear..!
"I will be blue! You are red!" He said, with a look that clearly said 'danger is my middle name'
"NO-" I yelled, but it was too late, he grabbed the dice rolling it. His rocket moved a space.
The house LIT UP!
"Oh, no!" I said.
He went STRAIGHT TO THE DOOR!
He opened it and.. SPACE!?
Saturn, mars! All different planets! We could breathe? How? Why? So many questions!

28th July, 2020 Tuesday. Doofess Girafe..  (A 5 minute story)
(Warning: Very bad Rhyming, yes yes very bad, Dr Seuss vibes)

With a long neck and sharp toes, up a tree! Yes, yes a tree! Im Doofess the Girafe, Dont judge my name, its how I am!
Would you like to know why I am up this tree?

It AllllLLLLlllLLL started with a dog! Yes a dog! Lets call him Bog.
I was eating grass next to a tree, yes yes a tree. I Bonk my head on the tree! A tiny dog there it was Bog barked, he barked for a while
"Bork, Bork!" He chanted, he pulled my tail! No, he Literaly pulled my tail!
I didnt know what to do! I'd watched to many cartoons!
I pretended to be a cat! Yes a cat, next to the dog, named Bog! I realise I am up a tree! But I am not a cat neither a Monkey! "I AM A GIRAFE!" I shouted
And.. THE DOG RAN AWAY!!
"I did it! I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT!" I hollowed. But wait..

It Took Ages!!!!

I did a 3 hour bike ride on saturday!! It was a loop from bottle lake forest and spencer park!

IT TOOK AGES!!!!
We got to a hill which was by the way the HARDEST part it was like really BIG! Of course we went over lots of hills but ONE OF THEM WAS REALLY BIG, It was out in the open not in trees, (the hill is not the one shown in the photo) BUT THAT HILL WAS BEFORE THE CHIRSTCHURCH EARTHQUAKE!! Underneath the hill was a DUMP! YOU HEARD ME RIGHT A DUMP! It obviously didn't get used now, grass had grown over it. Why am I talking about a dump? I dont know honestly, but that ride was vErY VeRy FuN, my mum loves riding!!! so that is why I am always going on rides but apart from the 2 day ride i did in 2019 THAT WAS THE BIGGEST RIDE I HAVE EVER DONE!

Eclipse, Learning photo shop.

Anzac weekend: Mum Taught me how to use photo shop. This is what I created.. I first got the template which is this:

And then I got the photos I wanted like space, The gold is fabric the red is fabric. And for the black and white body I used black and white confetti 

It took about an hour. Then I came up with a name and..

Taa Daa!

Water science

I learn't that water is not wet. Example For  if you dip your finger  a cup of water it's not wet  if you take it out it is wet. We made water strider's. They were made out of wire we had 3 pieces of wire.

So we had to figure out how to make them.

So we twisted wire and made feet.

We had to make U shaped feet. there was 6 feet an 3 on each side.

They were meant to float on water.... But... Uh they didn't.

We had to figure it out. 

Covid19 Lockdown 2020 What I Did!

2020 Lockdown! 

The first activity I did was sewing! It took a whole day!!! I sewed a white elephant, with black button eyes, It was blanket stitch, I made a red sattle with jewls on it for the elephant.

I put a face on it with freckles and a creepy smile! I also found a fake flower to put on it, I painted the pot for it it was the best time EVER! It only took half an hour to make! The next week mum suggested we go foraging So we did, We found quinces apples figs walnuts and pears!

The next day of foraging we found apples quinces figs and grapes!

I practised rollerblading we walked down the beach A-LOT 

For four nights i went to my dads but they were all practising rollerblades and home school!..

Task master

Pinky pick up

Task master. In pinky pick up we had to find as many objects as we could that were as big as the oldest's foot. In my group were Hebe, Lily, Caily and me Izzy. We found 3 books as big as my foot (I'm the oldest out of my group) To win you have to hold the object with just one pinky. Of course your group will help with there pinky's. You have 5 minutes to win whoever holds it for the most amount of time wins! Hebe; "Guys stop we need to balance it!" Caily; "Lily stop leaning!" Izzy; Great team effort guys! Not." Lily; "Looking we're winning with no team effort!" And so yes in the end we did win. We won nothing.. But Sharon (Our group teacher) Asked us how we won Izzy; "With no team effort" Hebe; "No, We kinda did" Everyone else in our group: stares at Hebe. Hebe; "Fine fine" Sharon (The teacher) "Well then, Good job i guess" Everyone else Claps at us for no reason accept that we won with no team effort.

SCRATCH Breakout Room!

Self explanatory.. Well kinda first we were gonna play Animal Jam But it wasn't allowed on the chrome books.
So we had to play scratch there were a couple non working games of Animal Jam but we just went crazy on scratch. Because that we were in a breakout with no teachers it was probably the loudest room in the class. It shows a teacher in the photo but that was when we were deciding what to do. Anyways scratch is a game where you can create you own videos, Photo's, shows, Games and more! You start of with a scratch cat and transform it into a game... And to make the game you delete the cat..... :0 (Deep Breathe) And animal jam is an AWARD winning game! GO PLAY IT NOW LIKE RIGHT NOW!! i'm kidding play it when you have finished reading this oh and animal jam is not a game where you make animals into jam wanna link? "Yes animal jam sounds awesome!

Tawhirimatea Term 1 Writing

Name: Izzy. Vandenbosch

Fire breathing dragon	A fire breathing dragon.. Just chilling in the Antarctic, while breathing fire? Smoke covered the air. As it put its 5 clawed 5 fingered in the fire while his other petting his scales in an evil way. As I saw this the snow melting below its legs, it hadn’t noticed me yet. I was pounding in fear sweating even “why me” i sneezed it looked around the mountains, I squeezed into the snow, it looked around and started breathing fire. I'm dead , I'm dead!! I thought. I had a sword on my back. This was my chance but... CHOMP!!, “BURRP!”
Forest of new zealand	The tui the fantail and the kiwi all wanted to change new zealand! But how? Well, I don't know either. The tui flew over New Zealand covering it with leaves and trees! Fantail spread her tail and bringed back the natural waterfalls with their sparkly clear tips. Pukeko joined and made the natural habitats for the others, finally kiwi did the finishing touch.. The weather in Auckland (laughing) ok that joke was mean. Kiwi made the factories.. Man made buildings and pests disappear. From then on pukeko fantail tui and kiwi were nataural legends. The end! Read us more! Please?
Week 4 24:2:20  Warriors: power of three	Hollyleaf, The one of the three without powers.. Having made a prophesied cat.. She has to do good things.. Like not killing ashfur. Her blind brother Jayfeather having made a medicine cat. His power is well.. No one ever knew but something happened to make everyone think he does did i mention he is grey?. And lionblaze her other brother the only ginger cat of the litter his power is to not die from a sickness. He is a warrior like hollyleaf. take crowfeather there father in a different clan, he is black like hollyleaf we don't know their mother...
	Goal: Read over to make sure it makes sense

Oops!! I didn’t ’  you!!	My Owner was doing a puzzle, I “accidentally” nudged her in the face reminding her to feed me. She just rolled her eyes! And carried on I needed a plan… oo i know i could… hmm “picks up knife from the kitchen walks over to owner” Owner- No bad, not good, no no put it DOWN!!- I just sat down, I need a new plan maybe..  I jumped up on the table and swiped the puzzle off the table. Owner- “I guess your hungry aye?” Me- “meow” -sigh- she walked over to the kitchen, she got a bowl and FOOD!!
